Our Story
A gantry is an overhead crane, and ours still hangs above the floor nearly a hundred years after it was installed. This Occidental Avenue building came up in the 1920s, when the rail tracks out front carried copper and metal in and out of Pioneer Square, and the crane hauled heavy fabricated steel across the shop. The industrial bones, and the crane, are still here today.
We kept the crane. And the name.
